MTV: What are your favorite CDs of all time?

Sharon: I love everything from Queen to [Black] Sabbath to [Led] Zeppelin to Pavarotti. I have a wide variety of tastes [all the way] to classical music. One of my favorite pieces is Vivaldi's "Four Seasons." I can say [that] you know I love "Paranoid" and "Stairway to Heaven." So I have a huge variety of what I like to listen to. But I suppose my favorite of all time is going to be Queen.

MTV: What current music are you into?

Sharon: I love Coldplay and I love Foo Fighters. We have no option but to listen to Tool--Jack blasts it morning, noon and night.

The one that Kelly's listening to, The Strokes, to me it's all retro music, all mod music, and they're trying to do the mod look as far as the styling goes. It's just everything that I've heard before, recycled, and Kelly thinks, "Oh my God, do you see the way they look?" And its like, that's the mod look.

Well, she's got a wide range of music too. But stuff like that, The Strokes, it's just re-hashed. You know, you look back at bands like Sabbath and Queen and they looked the way they looked because that's the way they looked. They didn't pretend to be something they weren't. They were such great trendsetters and individuals, and that's what is lacking today. There are very few stars that are in these bands today. Oh -- I like Chris Cornell too. Love him!

MTV: When you and Ozzy go out for an evening with friends, where do you go and what do you do?

Sharon: We don't usually go out a lot because we spend so much time out for business; for us to spend a night in is just what we'd prefer to do. We have lots of friends, we do. And we're very lucky that we've got very good friends. But we choose to be loners I think. Not like the kids!

MTV: What is a typical day in your life?

Ozzy: She's an absolute complete lunatic workaholic.

Sharon: [laughs] I get up early to do my calls to Europe and the rest of the world. I get up also to get the kids up…

Ozzy: I've never known anyone [who] works like she works--she'll work through the night and all day.

Sharon: … my life is [pretty much] spent on the phone. I hate to go into my office, because I don't like offices. I hate that office type of mentality. I hate to sit in a room by myself and just do phone work. It's really weird, we've had an office for 20-odd years, and I've never had an office in [an] office. It's always been a little house or a little warehouse. I can't stand the thought of getting into an elevator and going into an office. I'm so against that. But I have my office, we have a great staff. I'm on the phone all day long, like I'm working with you, then doing Cribs, then tonight I have to see a band at the Troubadour. I probably get about 4-5 hours of sleep a night.
